Warranty and Refund Policy

 

Refund and Warranty Policy for Mobile Mechanic Scotland

At Mobile Mechanic Scotland, we are committed to providing high-quality services and repairs. This Refund and Warranty Policy outlines the conditions under which you may be eligible for a refund or warranty on the services and parts we provide.

1. Refund Policy

  •  24-Hour Cancellation: If you decide to cancel your booking, you may be eligible for a full refund if the cancellation is made before 24 hours of your scheduled service appointment. Cancellations made after this period are non-refundable or a percentage may be taking from payment.
     
  • Incorrect Diagnosis by Third-Party Mechanics: If you have had your vehicle diagnosed or repaired by a third-party mechanic, Mobile Mechanic Scotland is not responsible for any incorrect diagnosis or services performed by them. Parts purchased based on a third-party diagnosis are non-refundable and cannot be returned, even if they are unused or still in their original packaging.
     

2. Warranty Policy

  • Parts Supplied by Customers: Customer-supplied parts come with zero warranty. If you provide your own parts for repairs, we are not responsible for any defects, malfunctions, or issues that arise with those parts after installation. Additionally, if incorrect parts are supplied by the customer, a full labour charge will apply to the job, regardless of the time or labour spent.
     
  • Parts Supplied by Mobile Mechanic Scotland: All parts purchased and supplied by Mobile Mechanic Scotland are covered by a 12-month or 12,000-mile warranty (whichever comes first). This warranty covers defects in material or workmanship, and we will replace or repair faulty parts within the warranty period at no additional cost.
     
  • Warranty for Labour: Labour related to parts covered by warranty is also covered for 12 months or 12,000 miles.
     

3. Exclusions from Warranty

  • Incorrect Diagnosis by Third-Party Mechanics: If a diagnosis provided by a third-party mechanic is incorrect, Mobile Mechanic Scotland will not be responsible for the costs of parts purchased based on that diagnosis, nor will those parts be eligible for warranty or return.
     
  • Third-Party Repairs or Modifications: Jobs that have been previously repaired by a third-party mechanic (outside of Mobile Mechanic Scotland) will not be covered by our warranty, regardless of the mechanic’s discretion. Our warranty only applies to repairs and services that we have performed.
     
  • Improper Use or Maintenance: The warranty does not cover parts or labour if the issue arises from improper use, accidents, neglect, or lack of proper maintenance on your part.
     
  • Customer-Supplied Parts: As mentioned above, if you supply the parts, those parts will not be covered under any warranty provided by Mobile Mechanic Scotland, even if we install them.


  •  Repairs Under Warranty: Warranty claims for parts and labour must be addressed by Mobile Mechanic Scotland's mechanics. If any parts or labour are found to be defective, the repairs must be carried out by our qualified mechanics. We will not provide cash refunds or reimbursements for any repairs performed by third-party mechanics. Any repairs done outside of Mobile Mechanic Scotland will void the warranty.
     

4. Important Reminder: Wheel Checks

  • Post-Service Wheel Check: After any service involving wheels (e.g., tire replacement, brake repair, etc.), it is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to check all wheels for tightness and safety after 50 miles of driving. Failure to perform this check can void any related warranty on the wheels or services performed.
     

5. How to Request a Refund or Warranty Claim

If you believe you're entitled to a refund or warranty claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact us immediately via Info@MobilemechanicScotland.co.uk or 07393638708 to report the issue.
     
  2. Provide relevant details, such as:
     
    • Your service invoice number
       
    • A description of the issue
       
    • Any supporting evidence (photos of faulty parts, vehicle mileage, etc.)
       

  1. For refunds, please ensure that any cancellation request is made within the 24-hour window before the scheduled appointment.
     
  2. For warranty claims, provide proof of purchase and the relevant vehicle information.
